I was reading a friend's blog (Thanks Emily O.) and got this great idea from her blog.....I'm doing the year 2007 of Miss M, month by month. Choosing my favorite picture or two from that month. Look for a another post soon to come for 2008. Let's see, we begin April 2007:
April 2007
This was taken the night we brought her home, you can still see a bit of her jaundice.
So tiny, so precious, fresh from Heaven. Can you imagine how hard that
must have been for her to leave Heavenly Father?May 2007
Got Milk?
My grandfathers were both very important men in my life.
I knew my dad would make an excellent grandpa, and couldn't
wait to introduce him to his first granddaughter.
I was right dad makes the best grandpa! From the moment
my dad held Miss M there was an instant bond that nothing can break.June 2007
Miss M's blessing day, what a great day that was.
A sweet baby given the sweetest blessing by her father.
Grandparents Ricketts and Wheeler were there,
the love for this precious gift from Heaven was abundant.

Miss M and her daddy have always been best of buds. When daddy is around she wants nothing to do with mama. One minute they were sitting here contently watching TV,
knowing Hero it was either sports, the news, or Food Network.
The next Miss M starts screaming and Hero is left wondering,
"What did I do?"August 2007
In August we took Miss M camping in the Wrangle-St. Elias National Park. While it was nice during the day, it could get a bit chilly at night. So I was sure to bundle Miss M up really good. What you can't see is that she is wearing a onesie, socks, pajamas, fuzzy bunting, and is swaddled in a blanket. She stayed plenty warm.
When we went home to Oregon to the wedding of Hero's sister we took the opportunity to introduce Miss M to her many family members. This is my grandma Ricketts, my dad's mom. This is the grandma who taught me to sew and the love of quilting.
"Yummy mommy!"
About this time Miss M was showing an extreme interest in what mommy and daddy were eating. When we returned home from Oregon we decided to go ahead and introduce rice cereal. It very soon became apparent that she was ready, and that any food allergy fears I may have had were unfounded in the case of our precious eater.
"What do you mean it is all gone?"September 2007
Miss M spent a lot of time in this saucer, she loved to bounce up and down. Regrettably Hero spent September in Alabama at a school, so there are not as many pictures from while he was away. I try to take pictures of Miss M, but by the time I think about it she is in bed and the perfect opportunity has passed.October 2007
Miss M never was one for the baby bath thing. She'd fuss, kick, wiggle and scream. But if you put her in the bathtub with an inch of water she was as happy as a clam.
With all her fancy baby toys...she still would rather play in the
basket we kept her toys than the toys themselves.
Helping mommy change sheets on the bed, getting ready for daddy to come home from his six weeks in Alabama.November 2007
Miss M loves to read.
I love these little feet!

When these blue eyes smile up at you...
you can't help but fall in love.
Two days before Christmas, already trying
to figure out which packages are hers.
Christmas morning...
