- For a fun weekend spent amongst the Wheeler clan
- A safe trip to and home from the cabin this weekend. Seems I always take it for granted that we have arrived safely at our destination.
- Meghan played well despite the lack of naps on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday...but I am paying for it today.
- That our dog Emma is so lovable. She lets Meghan ride her like a horsey, pull on her ears, use her as a step stool to get on the sofa...what a great family member we have in her!
- Families...

Grateful Friday
Another great week here is "Wheelerville"...
I am grateful;
I am grateful;
- For the opportunity to enjoy a fun meal with family! Thanks Rebekah & Jason!
- For the ability to pass on Meghan's baby things to a precious baby soon to join her parents.
- A great husband who quietly lent a helping hand the other night to help tidy up the house.
- To be married to my best friend!
- The joy brought to my life through my precious daughter...what a blessing it is to hear her giggles everyday, to receive her hugs, and to hear her call me mama.
- For the opportunity to go back to school next month.
- My band....best decision I could have made.

Grateful Friday
I promise one day very soon I will post a great post with fabulous pictures of Meghan...I've got quite the stash of pictures from recent weeks(heck, who am I kidding, MONTHS) to share. Alas, for now you will have to settle for a list of the things I am thankful for.
Other than the obvious two of my dear hubby and precious daughter, I am grateful for;
Other than the obvious two of my dear hubby and precious daughter, I am grateful for;
- The opportunity to travel to Colorado this weekend to witness and celebrate the retirement of a friend from the Air Force.
- Number 1 afforded us the opportunity to reconnect from some fabulous friends from England. It was so nice to sit around and get caught up on each other.
- Parents that let us crash at their pad for the weekend; we love them so very much.
- A safe and uneventful trip to Colorado.....unless you want to count my peeing and getting caught by oncoming traffic Wyoming. Only me would this happen to!
- The opportunity to have a great discussion with my youngest sister on my religious views.

Grateful Friday
This week I am grateful for;
- For beautiful weather and great health that allowed us to enjoy TWO great days out with friends and family. Wednesday we met my friend Joy and her two adorable boys at a park in Salt Lake. Liberty Park is a gem hidden in a city! Yesterday we met up with my sister-in-law and went to the outdoor pool in Tooele...that was a blast.
- My hiking boots that double as boots for riding the ATV. No more wet feet when I go splashing through mud puddles and now I can join Phillip and Meghan on their hiking adventures.
- My darling little family...it's not all roses in the park...but it is a great life.
- A place to go in the mountains that allows us to enjoy the beauty of nature...and have some comforts of home at the same time...and awesome in-laws that allow us to use their cabin.
- Faith that no matter the results of my dear friend, Tara's testing that if she has faith and willingness to fight to the end, the result will be what Heavenly Father wants for this precious daughter of his...I only hope I will know how to be of comfort to her, her spouse, and precious children.

Grateful Friday
On top of the usuals; hubby and kiddo...I am grateful for
- A great week of catch up cleaning for arriving guests...I got a lot done, and there is still some to be done before the guests arrive. However, I am not stressing....
- Great conversations with my husband. Talking to him always helps me put whatever ails me into perspective.
- Comfort given by understanding that there is a life after death and that FAMILIES ARE FOREVER.
- Courage to FINALLY go back to school. I have applied for admission to the Park University on base. Park University's main campus is in Missouri, but there are "satellite" campuses on bases all over. I know enquiring minds want to know.....I still don't know for sure what I want to be when I grow up, but I have a broad idea. As of now my major is Social Psychology with an emphasis in Human Development.
- Tony's Express Detail in Layton....they did things to my car that were long overdue and I am too lazy to do myself. I now have clean windows, clean dash and console, shiny tires, and all that Emma hair has been sucked up.
- My FoodSaver....it allows me to make meals to freeze so that when I am feeling lazy I don't have to cook. Tonight I made BBQ beef and chicken enchiladas. YUMMY.

Grateful Friday
Oh man, what a week! Turns out what I thought were my allergies acting up is "just a bad viral cold" according to the doc. So it is the waiting game to see when and if the decongestants will work so I can work out again.
This week I am grateful;
This week I am grateful;
- That Phillip is so patient with me when the house looks like a tornado took up permanent residence. He looks beyond the chaos and mess.....
- That Meghan has been perfectly happy to let mommy veg and hang out inside. Even if I have seen that Tinkerbell movie (Bella to Meghan) more times than any grown woman should in the last three days.
- For great health care and insurance coverage that affords me the ability to go see the doctor when needed and get needed medications. The fact that too many in this country (or world for that matter) have inadequate medical coverage is not lost on me. I feel for families that have no insurance.
- That Emma the wonder dog likes napping as much as I do...in fact she is snoring as I type this.
- All of my needs are met, and most of my wants. I am blessed.
- For the plan of salvation...it would be very difficult to live in this day and age not knowing the purpose of life and that we will be reunited with loved ones that have gone before us. What a great day that will be!

Grateful Friday
Well this week flew by so quick...but then they all seem fly.
I am such a lucky woman! There is much in my life to be grateful for. Here are just a few of the things I am grateful for this week;
I am such a lucky woman! There is much in my life to be grateful for. Here are just a few of the things I am grateful for this week;
- Light bulb moments. I am a daughter of a Heavenly Father, he has trusted me to take care of this body...I am thankful for discussions with a great bunch of book club ladies!
- My husband, he does so much and means so much to us.
- Meghan...even on days when it has been a battle on her new hitting issues, she is a joy to have. Like tonight I watched on as she played in her little pool, it is such a blessing to see the world through the eyes of a little one.
- Beautiful weather. I sitting outside in my reclining lounge chair with a good book, a lazy dog at my feet, and the sounds of a happy toddler in the air.
- The opportunity to go home to visit family in Colorado. It was great to see everyone and even better to hold two new nephews!

Grateful Friday
Wow! What another week with many things to be grateful about;
- My beloved husband...what a wonderful nine years we have had together! Now it hasn't all been sparkling cider and roses, there have been hard days. However, those are so far and few that I can hardly recall what made them so hard.
- My darling daughter...what is there not to love about her. She did absolutely fantabulous in the truck for our 9.5 hour drive to my parent's house in Colorado.
- Family...I love them all...even the crazy ones. After all it is true what old Dolly sings about, "When they're family....."
- My laptop that enables me to blog even while on vacation. Did my family spoil me rotten or what?! (Even if we are having ISSUES with it and we think it was what the store we bought it from did when they optimized it. So much for their geek squad! Wish I lived closer to my geek gurl friend...I am sure she could help me whip it into shape!)
- Surviving the trip home from my lil sis' graduation last night.....let's just say that she needs to get her brakes fixed and has a very unique way of using the emergency brake and shifting down.....I LITERALLY saw my eyes flash before my eyes at one point. Lil sis if you read this....GET THOSE BRAKES FIXED!!! YOU ARE TOO PRECIOUS TO MESS AROUND WITH!!!!!!!
- Heavenly Father for all the blessings he pours down on me! I am truly a blessed woman.

Grateful Friday
It's that time of week again....Thank Goodness It's Finally Friday
I have much to be grateful for
I have much to be grateful for
- As always for my husband, he truly is my partner, my yin to my yang....
- The joy Miss M brings into our lives. I cherish these days as I know all too soon they will be just a memory.
- The beautiful spring weather
- Repairs to the sprinkling system haven't been as bad as we thought...leaving us to wonder why the previous owners lived here for years without fixing it. (They most of the replacement sprinkler heads, so it is not a matter of buying parts.) Still have to dig a few minor trenches, but nothing like I envisioned.
- Living close enough to family that we can go support them for big life events.
- Despite the crazy six hours it took us to get through the case lot sale at the commissary today, Miss M was really well behaved.

Grateful Friday
Rarely, but sometimes I have to use the grateful Friday exercise to remind me how great life is. Today is one of those days. I could very easily make a list of things wrong in my world. (i.e. I woke up with a HORRENDOUS menstrual headache, my allergies are making me MISERABLE, my toddler is driving my BATTY over wanting to sit on the potty (it is almost a game with her.), the dog and cat are demanding attention, I could go on and on and on and on....)
So with that, I am grateful;
So with that, I am grateful;
- For a loving husband who just goes with the ebbs and tides of my moods, and boy have I thrown him some doozies lately.
- For a daughter who brings great joy into my life.
- For a home that keeps us safe.
- For the plan of salvation, especially on those really rough days when I wonder what I am doing or why am I here...I just have to quiet my restless heart and mind long enough to remember that there is a Heavenly Father with a great plan for all of us.
- For this beautiful weather that allows us to get outside to play and work in our yard.

Grateful Friday on a Monday
It was a fun-filled, crazy, busy weekend...
I am grateful
I am grateful
- For Nana & Papa...I love having them in my home, I love visiting with them, I appreciate all the help they were this last weekend...I just LOVE them!
- My darling husband. We are truly each other's help mate.
- My precious daughter. I am finding it hard to believe that she will be TWO in two days.
- For the ability to plan and put together a birthday party for a child, there were days I doubted that would ever happen.
- Support of family...both local and distant.
- The beautiful weather of the last two days.
- Great local museums to take Miss M...she had a BLAST at the Treehouse Musuem
- The atoning sacrifices of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Hi/Lo & Grateful Friday
This weeks hi/lo's
Hi: We have the resources to have interior shutters installed on all the windows we want them installed on. Now if we can only agree on the trim style....
Lo: Mama drama....extended the proverbial olive branch and it was cut down...oh well...winter just won't let go and let spring happen.
This week I am grateful;

This week I am grateful;
- For the atonement of the Saviour, the gospel of Jesus Christ, the plan of salvation
- My husband's patience with me as I have dealt with mama drama the last couple of weeks...he doesn't understand why I allow it to continue
- My mother-in-law...she is such a blessing in my life...I have a tidy house because of her
- The sun is out this morning....Meghan is outside burning off some of the cabin fever jitters
- The opportunity to stay at home with Meghan in these formative years...even if most days I wonder if I am doing the right thing

Grateful Friday
My blessing cup runneth over...here are just a few
- Finding humor in a situation that would normally keep me fuming for days (that is not to say that at first I wasn't fuming, but the humor soon became apparent)
- Health...what a blessing it is to be healthy
- Love of a great husband
- Love of a wonderful family
- The new found ability to let the hurtful actions of others roll off my back instead of soaking into my feathers
- A wonderful ward family
- Connection with friends from days long gone

Grateful Friday
This week I am grateful:
* I have a worthy Priesthood holder in my home. I know in my heart that the blessing he gave me Monday night is in part why the pain is not as bad as I prepared myself for it to be.
* Skilled surgeons, physicians, and nurses
* Vicodine
* Family & friends who have been checking up on me
* A tool to FINALLY help me over come this "fat kid" syndrome, I just have to work it

Grateful Friday
I am so blessed! This week I am grateful;
- That in this tough economy, my husband has pretty good job security for the time being, and a stable, dependable income.
- I have a very supportive family.
- Finally finding a "chore" system that works for me and my home, thanks Kami for sharing that link that has changed so much for a lot of us. This last week has been the first week in a super long time that Hero has not had to ask me when I was going to get around to washing his dark uniform socks, uniform shirts, or under clothes.
- Groomers at Petco who can handle our hyper Labrador, Emma, and makes her smell pretty once a month.
- For actually liking my scale this week. I love it when the numbers go DOWN. A couple of months ago I wanted to throw it out the window.
- The weather has been sunny enough for Miss M to go outside a little bit everyday. I hope that the weather stays this way or warms up a bit more the next couple of weeks.
- That I am so far able to tolerate this liquid diet...that is not to say I am not starving, because I am. However, I have had enough energy to function.

Grateful Friday
This week has flown by!
I am grateful;
I am grateful;
- For a comfortable home to call my own, although I do find I still have that living in military housing mentality. Constantly thinking about that final out inspection.
- Love of a great family
- My nephew Robert Christian is here and healthy. He was actually born last week, but the little guy and his family have been on my mind a lot this week. I wish I could hold him, love on him, smell that new baby smell.
- Peace surrounding my upcoming life change
- Friends who are an inspiration, even though they don't realize it at the time.

Grateful Friday on a Monday
I have much to be grateful for;
- This last Friday was a family day for Hero, so we have had a nice long weekend to spend as a family and enjoy each other's company.
- While owning a home has brought new financial responsibilities we don't normally have living on a military base....we still have enough to make minor upgrades to our home. Current project: updating light fixtures outside and inside
- Support and love of a great man
- Love of a gentle daughter
- Family I can lean on when my burdens get heavy
- Heavenly Father that carries my burden when I can not

Grateful Friday
This week I am grateful;

- that phone FINALLY did ring!
- My husband for being so understanding about my moodiness.
- Miss M, she is such a joy.
- Miss M didn't hurt herself seriously when she took her flying leap.
- for MetroMint water...super yummy and a great distraction for those soda cravings I have been having all week.

Grateful Friday
So here it is Monday....I am grateful;
- Miss M's cold seems to be more of a bother than one that brings her down.
- This snowy weather. Looks like we might have a white Christmas this year, without having to live in Alaska.
- Family.
- Hobbies that keep my mind of the things that can make me blue this time of year.
- My husband....he is a bright ray of light late in the afternoon when this mom needs a breather.
